1)HTML is the backbone of the website.
2)HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language and it lets you format text, add graphics, create links,input forms,frames and tables etc.
3)To make a website, it has to have the<html> at the start and it also has to end with </html>
4)The website also has to have the head and title as well. The head will consist of the title and the title will appear at the tab bar of the website.
5)The HTML also needs to have a body and it has to start with <body> and end with</body>.
6)To create a functional website we need at least 3 pages using basic HTML and CSS.
7)To be able to embed external media in to the website example images, web 2.0 technologies.
8)There are HTML tags for the website.
9)The contents have 3 parts: the start tag, content,and end tag.
10)We can also link webpages with HTML.

1) Web 2.0 allows users to interact and collaborate with each other in a social media dialogue as creators of user-generated content in a virtual in a virtual community.
2) I learnt about the difference about web 1.0 and web 2.0. In web 1.0, the webmaster has to constantly update the website while in web 2.0, he shares the responsibility for keeping the website engaging.
3)Wikipedia uses web 2.0 and it allows other users to add or delete information and it is not only for the webmaster to alter the webpage.
4)The term web 2.0 has been used for several years and there was a conference on 2004 October assembled concept of web 1.0 and web 2.0.
5) Google uses web 2.0 as it recommends ads for your site according to your websites focus while kodak uses web 1.0

1st post (Learning points from the 57 slides)
10 Learning Points.
1) I learnt about the world wide web and that it is a collection of electronic documents. Each one is called a web page and a web page is program that allows us to view web pages.
2)I learnt the meaning of URL that it stands for Uniform Resource Locator and that is is a unique address for a webpage for example this is the URL for google (www.google.com)
3)I learnt that a link is a built-in connection to another related webpage location. A link will bring you from a website to the other website as in the link.
4)I learnt to recognize links when the mouse is on a link, it will turn into a small hand.
5)I learnt what is a blog, it is a platform where you can constantly update and reflect on their interests and opinions on their daily lives on other issues.
6)I also learnt about graphics formats are used on the web. Some examples include BMP,JPEG,PNG,GIF and TIFF.
7)I learnt what is a thumbnail. It is a small version of a larger graphic used to improvr web page display.
8)I also learnt what a plug-in is. It is a program that extends the capability of a browser.
9)I learnt what a chat is as well, it is a space where you can chat with others in a chat room and it is real-time typed conversation that takes place on a computer.
10)I also learnt about netiquette, we have to treat others the way we would like them to treat us even on the net.
About Myself
Hi! My name is Lim Fong Kai. I have little IT experience but i have a few computer lessons in primary school. I was previously from ChongFu. I like to play badminton but i am not very good at it so i cannot join the school team. I will be posting my learning points on this blog for now.
